Ark-LA-Tex Play Map
Horizontal Production by Landing Bench
Summary
The graphic above presents all Ark-La-Tex horizontal wells completed since 2008.
The Jurassic Haynesville Shale and Cotton Valley sands are prolific unconventional gas plays focused around the Sabine Uplift, and into the North Louisiana Salt Basin.
Haynesville Shale development has been focused where the interval is thickest and exhibits the greatest overpressure, primarily in NW Louisiana and into East Texas.
The unconventional tight sands of the Cotton Valley (deposited above the Haynesville Shale) have low porosity, low permeability, and can exhibit low resistivity.
Methodology Overview
VSO sourced landing bench and production data from IHS to prepare these maps.
